Astro Bio Chemistry - The plausible Future area of Study of New Life in the Cosmos on a Biologically related Bio Chemical level.

Is Earth the only Life sustaining Planet in the Cosmos? Any intelligent, Scientifically grounded individual would probably answer that with a categoric ' No '. We are all entitled to our opinions mind you.

Introduction and Overview:
Astro Bio Chemistry as a relevant Subject:



The basic building blocks, elements, compounds and precursors for life are out there, beyond Earth, Sentient life itself has yet to be found and advanced Sentient life the subject of Science Fiction for now. In all honestly it would be a pretty big waste of Space if our Planet was the only World capable of providing life sustaining environments. On Earth we see an abundant array of environments in which ecosystems for complex, sentient and in the case of the Human race, advanced life forms exist.
 
Microbial life and Microbiological organisms will be the probable first forms Catalogued as we examine close non Earth like planets or those that possibly once were, for instance hypothetically Mars. Until we investigate the Flora and Fauna of other Earth like planets or those with Life supporting Atmosphere's and composition, new life is still the holy grail of exploration and Science.
 
At present technology is advancing in the field of Space travel leading to a future where we will see Human footsteps upon New Worlds outside of our own wonderful Moon, Mars likely to be the first; the first manned mission in the planning. In the mean time until significant advances are made in Human based Space travel our innovative remotely operated Robotic colleagues are conducting wonderful Research work, relaying important Data which we can Analyse and interpret, build theory upon and Hypothesise.

The Elements, Compounds and Building blocks of life are present even on the most inhospitable of Planets, life as we know can form in some of the most extreme of environments making the possibilities and questions endless. Elements and their Sub components are synthesised and utilised by diverse Lifeforms in numerous ways, the mechanisms of life built around what is present in a given Environment.

We can via the use of Spectrographic analysis determine the Atmospheric content of distant Worlds, we determine this via the light wavelengths/Spectrum emitted from the world in question. We know the by products of life as we know it and the Gaseous states of elements that allow life to thrive. We can apply our knowledge and thus assess whether Planets may or may not harbour life and make moves to study them further. Due to the cost and undertaking at present to indeed conduct these types of research we need to utilise the methods of remote observation for now.

There is no doub't in my Mind that the future will see manned Inter planetary space travel, breakthroughs in technology wil allow us to travel faster and over greater distances, will it be in my life time? I sure hope so and I intend to apply my Mind to help make sure that is the case. Until we advance to the state of the needed technological prowess to enable such manned Planetary research we must rely on Earth based Science, observatories and our remotely operated friends.

As we know Environmental adaptation! one of life's true wonders, the beauty of life continues to Astonish us and always will. In my personal view Astro Bio Chemistry as a subject area is incredibly important and will be vital to the understanding of life in the Universe.

The true Space Race and new Era of Man is well underway, the prospect of New life is in effect waving it's hand beckonning us forth as we become technologically suited to this new Era of exploration. The need for Minds that can think outside the box ever greater as we as a Race start understanding and putting into context just how small we are in the scheme of things.

Being a Scientist myself along with being an Astronomer/Astrophysics/Astro Biological Theorist there is no doubt in my Mind that this area of Study into the Bio mechanics of life in the Cosmos and related Bio Chemical processes will be of major importance. Astro Bio Chemistry like its brother and sister areas of Study are and will all become pinnacle areas of Study outside of our Planet's own Atmosphere and beyond. During this Century as we as a Planet push further and further into the Universe, the more we will adapt and advance in our pursuits, the need for the Sciences ever greater.

Sure it can be said that a lot of related study within the subject area is applicable to our planet, we can use our own Planet as a testing ground, we can look at extremities, create adverse conditions that mirror that of other Planets and synthesise life on numerous levels. This subject area is a Grey one as life outside of Earth has yet to be confirmed although to date there have been numerous Planets found that inhabit Solar Systems and positions ideal for Life to flourish as it does upon Earth, the number is increasing rapidly.

Keep your eye's on the N.A.S.A Kepler Space Telescope, it's Mission to hunt out Earth like Planets with Di Urnal (Day/Night) Star/Sun characteristics. In my mind there is beyond any reasonable doubt various forms of life out there, as to whether it is Sentient or Intelligent is another matter entirely, although in my view likely. As for there being equally or more advanced civilisations than our own, there is a possibility but in truth a very slim one, although many of us Star gazers have seen some pretty strange goings on up there it has to be said. Such great distances between Planets pose a problem, Man's technology is presenting solutions and possible answers but that is in relation to our own efforts and advancements technologically. Distance, technology and time are no doubt Hurdles for any other Higher or advanced intelligence, hypothetically speaking that is.

There are however Trillions of Galaxies composing of endless numbers of Stars out there, each Star/Sun having their own Orbiting systems of Planets and Moons. As to whether life can flourish upon these distant Worlds, evolve and become equal in advancement to Man is a far lesser possibility but not one to be ruled out. The time it would take another Race to evolve is another issue but then we only have to look at the changes that have occured upon our own Planet, in the sheme of things our Race is relatively young when relating it to the age of the Planet let alone Universe. There just may be a number of Planets out there, so ruling out the possibility of other intelligent civilisations would be a silly move and it would be prudant to keep an open Mind. There are numerous factors to consider leading to many New realms of thought.

As we observe and interpret more and more data, the more we will advance our Theories, understanding and Hypothesis; continuing in our building of the ever growing Pyramid of knowledge outside of Earth. There are Billions of Planets within our own Mily Way galaxy that inhabit what has been dubbed the Goldilocks zone, a zone within tollerances akin to our own planet Earth, that we know life as we know it could exist. There would of course be variations in temperature, light, heat, gravity, core structure, Elemental composition let alone Atmospheric composition. Planets within the Goldilocks Zones within Galaxies give an increased, raised likeliehood of life being present, this does not rule out other Planets but in order to locate planets similar in structure and composition to our own these zones would be a wise focus.

There are some great Minds playing with numerous theories and Hyposthesis, some of these realms of thought we see played out in HollyWood BlockBusters and Great Science Fiction writing.

With all my personal experience's, Education and my minds own conclusions there is no doubt at all that our future as a race amongst many Millions of living organisms present on Earth and beyond is dependent on Research and study. Our future as the ' Human Race ' hinges on Science and Innovative thought. As a Race we will continue to strive ever forward in our understanding and need for Understanding. This Century is going to see some of the Greatest discoveries in the History of Mankind and the new thought processes and new technological leaps will be astounding. We need to proceed carefully, learning by our own Mistakes previously made taking every precaution so as to not make any more.

The Universe and Beyond is Man's new venture, venturing into the unknown is so exciting, the prospect of exploring New Worlds amazing. Numerous questions arise in the inquisitive Scientific Mind and an open field of play ensues. Does the New World in question have a Gravitational field? Does that World have a diurnal light rhythm? What is the compositional structure of it's Atmosphere? Is water present and in what State? What is the compositional Geological structure of the environment? Is the surface Temperate? What by products of Life as we know it are present, if any? What effect do Orbiting Planets or Moons have on the Body in question? We can go on and on posing more and more questions applicable to the area of interest.
 
Ecosystems, in turn life itself evolves within a set of tolerances, to evolve is to adapt and to the make the best of a given situation. The Zonation, dominance and succession of Species is dependent on developmental strengths and weaknesses, the strongest ultimately survive, evolution and succession are a continuing set of factors as environmental stimuli sculpt what is. Ecosystems can be so finely tuned as man is learning much to it's own demise, in some cases Man has  quite literally destroyed the balance of Evolutionary fine tuning in turn threatening it's own very existence. We must learn from the mistakes made before and take that knowledge and understanding with us into this new era of Space exploration.

The understanding of life is an on going pursuit, it's diversity, the tolerance zones in which it inhabits ( Habitat ), life upon New Worlds as diverse as perhaps that of Earth but entirely unique in it's own Evolutionary adaptation to Environmental factors upon which it may thrive. We have seen different Environments shape Life on Earth, just the thought of extraterrestial life opens new doors of thought. With the continuing advancement in current technologies we are beginning to survey New Worlds in so many ways, ever widening our understanding. This advancement leading to amazing breakthroughs as we continue taking Science, numerous other Subject area and innovation forward into the greatest of all Wonders.

The subject area is vast, and due to the future proferring the Discovery of Numerous and Diverse forms of life outside of Earth, the study of the Biologically related Chemical processes within New Lifeforms, alas externally the composition of environment and relation of, is extremely important. Zonation, interaction and understanding of all is paramount in the future Dawn of the New Sciences and their applications.

When registering this Domain and its sister Domain I had perviously in my Mind created this subject area as it is an area of Study close to my Heart and Soul along with others. Maybe I am putting myself out on a Limb, as to some the subject area may be deemed premature or in Academic sense unecessary, well that may be so to some.
 
The known Universe as we perceive it is an endless Zone waiting to be explored, Subject and Sub subject area ever more applicable as fields of Study and subject area become in time ever greater. There is so much more beyond the confines of our own World. Take some time to stare up on a clear night with your telescope and just look at the Trillions of stars in your field of view and then take some time to think seriously about the wonders above.
 
As a Scientist and Theorist with an Innovative, rare, let alone creative Mind, partnered with a life long set of unusual Abilities, applying my Mind to the wonders of the Universe is a real passion. Science has yet to answer many of my own questions, it is this drive to seek answers which spurs one forward, collectively as a Race great steps will be forever taken.

 A deep Spiritual love for the Natural world and a life long passion tied tightly to preserving and protecting life in it's many numerous and various forms lead me to this point in my life.

A wonderful and deep love for Science, numerous Arts and Music, tied with a life long and very protective Nature for the Natural Environment, it's inhabitants, that of Earth and beyond. All of this tied with the ability to be able to go beyond, create, innovate and be at the forefront in innovative thought has always been a part of me since my earliest of memories.
 
It is for the Love of the Natural World, Universe and Science that I create and endeavour to help innovate. I will continue in my effort to validate the gounds for this subject area and pray that it will become a treasured area of future research as we reach ever more for the Stars.
